I walk forward,
But I find a dead end,
Kept contained by the safety,
Of these cursed bars.
I walk backwards
But I won’t fall down.
Caught by the safety,
Of these cursed bars.
Unwilling to listen,
With unbending, steel will.
They silently ignore,
My pleas for release.
Safety,
Without liberty.
Security,
Without space.
Caged,
I await the potential,
For freedom.
